Seek God
Seeking God can look very different from person to person, and we can’t tell you exactly how to do it. However, we want to encourage you to grow in prayer. Prayer is a spiritual discipline that can be developed and deepened over time. No one naturally finds time to encounter God intensely – these moments don’t just happen by chance. If you don’t intentionally set aside time to talk to God, worship Him, and listen to His voice, such moments will rarely occur.
As a church, we want to encourage you to seek God every day. Both corporate prayer and personal prayer times are important:
- Corporate Prayer: God has promised that He is among us when we gather in His name. That’s why we invite you to participate in our corporate prayer gatherings. These moments not only strengthen your faith but also unite us as a church in prayer.
- Personal Prayer Times: A deep, personal relationship with God grows primarily through private prayer. These moments are crucial to draw near to Him and hear His voice.
How can you seek God in prayer?
There are many ways to seek God. Here are some suggestions:
- Listen to worship music and consciously sing along to praise God.
- Read Psalms or other Bible passages and turn your thoughts on the verses into prayers.
- Speak quietly to God at home, telling Him who He is to you and sharing what’s on your heart.
- Remind God in your prayers of the promises He has given you in His Word.
Our invitation to you: Seek God daily – at home and in community. A vibrant relationship with God develops when we intentionally spend time with Him. We as a church are here to support you on this journey, but the decision to seek God is yours.
